An internationally known award-winning leader and expert in the Africa industry since 1987, Karin Jones has visited the world over from a luxury adventurer’s perspective. The past 35 years she has typically traveled to Africa once or twice annually; most recently to Namibia - revisiting South Africa, Kenya, and Tanzania, as well.

Karin holds an Executive MBA from Pepperdine University, as well as a degree in Education from Boston University's Wheelock College. She is a sought after speaker in the industry and uses her teaching, marketing and business background to design thoughtful programs and training on Africa for industry colleagues. One of the favorite aspects of her work is to speak directly with clients to help hone in specifically on their passions to design a life-changing Africa journey just for them.

Karin is an avid wildlife lover, and over the years has held several management positions within the safari industry. She was the owner/founder of Elite Adventure Travel Marketing which for 15 years took her around the world, helping her become expert in exotic travel within Africa and beyond. Her journeys have taken her several times to India (including tiger viewing), China, Thailand, Borneo, Brazil, and New Zealand. She's traveled throughout Scandinavia, as well as the rest of Europe - cycling and hiking through Spain and Portugal - as well as adventure small-ship cruising. Karin's diverse travel background assists her in understanding the needs of our clients.

For the past 13 years at the helm of Anastasia's Africa as Managing Director, Karin has brought her breadth of experience, together with her team, to design outstanding custom African Safaris.

Under her leadership Anastasia's Africa has received multiple accolades, including the Tanzania Tourism Board's 'Best Operator to Southern/Western Tanzania,' and has been nominated several years in a row as 'Best FIT Operator' by Luxury Travel Advisor Magazine. Other awards include a SoCal ASTA Diamond Award as 'Best Allied Tour Operator Partner.' Many top producing travel advisors consider her and the Anastasia's Africa team their Africa Secret Weapon
